An IR sensor and a light sensor are used to activate the scanner, scan barcodes as they are shown, and boost throughput and productivity. The sensor in the NLS-FM430 automatically modifies the additional illumination time based on the light reflected off the barcode. An IP54-rated environmental seal guards against dust, moisture, and other contaminants for the NLS-FM430. The fifth-generation UIMG technology from Newland enables the NLS-FM430 to read high-volume 1D and 2D barcodes on displays wrapped in protective film. The NLS-FM430 sports a laser-generated crosshair aiming pattern that is bright and clear even in direct sunlight to assure accurate aim on the first try.
