Introducing New Kits for the Gryphon GPS4400 Presentation Imager

Datalogic has announced the release of 2 new kits for the Gryphon GPS4400 2D presentation area imager. The GPS4400 imager offers the same capabilities and performance as the Gryphon GD4400 handheld scanner, but in a presentation-style form. The lone difference versus the product models currently available, the 2 devices provided in the kit feature a USB interface only (GPS4421) vs. USB and RS-232 cable provided with the GPS4490 kit.

The new kits include the imager plus enhanced USB ‘type A’ cables matching the product color which are also guaranteed for enhanced immunity from environmental disturbances.

Datalogic’s New Heron HD3430 2D Imager for Point-of-Sale

Datalogic has announced the release of the Heron HD3430 2D area imager. The HD3430 2D area imager is the first handheld reader featuring a proprietary 2D multi-purpose imaging engine developed by Datalogic.

This high-performance 2D scan engine features a global shutter WVGA sensor optimized for high speed-to-read and outstanding motion tolerance, a key feature for the Retail market and POS checkout applications. In particular, whenthe Heron HD3430 2D area imager is used in its stand, the high motion tolerance allows bar codes to be read easily and precisely even when moving quickly and carelessly in front of  the scanners’ window.

The unmatched ergonomics of this product versus any other competitor is further enhanced by an efficient white illumination and precise 4-dot center-cross laser aiming system for the most effective data capture activity at the POS checkout. Furthermore, Datalogic’s patented ‘Green Spot’ technology is included, providing visual feedback with each bar code read.

Datalogic’s New QuickScan QD2131 Linear Imager

qd2131Datalogic has announced their newest QuickScan product: the QD2131 1D linear imager. This is an entry level scanner with enhanced performance for general linear bar code scanning applications. When compared to the current QuickScan QD2130 imager, the new QD2131 imager brings to the table many enhancements in all aspects of scanning:

  • A longer reading range and depth of field (DOF)
  • A wider scan angle and field of view (FOV)
  • A brighter, crisper and longer scanning line
  • Snappier bar code reading
  • A more durable and sturdy look and feel

Additionally, the QuickScan QD2131 imager will have the updated QuickScan product family look and will be able to share the same stands and accessories as the QuickScan QD2400 imagers.

WiNG 5.8 is a major software release for the WLAN portfolio of products delivering a variety of new features and capabilities including: Zebra NSight –a new network visualization engine with rich analytics that makes it easier than ever to manage and troubleshoot your WLAN; Application Visibility and Control (AVC) to give you complete control over the applications that are running on your WLAN and fine-tune/rate-limit based on the business need; a full-featured Guest access solution with self-registration, support for social media login credentials for guest access and large data-store for guest user profile; Mobile extension enhancements for better wireless experience for Zebra mobile devices; Centralized EX-3500 switch management through NX.

  • NX-5500E – WiNG Express Manager for multi-site deployments with capacity up to 512 Express APs.
