Intermec Launcher Now Available for the CV61
Intermec has announced the availability of their Launcher application  for all versions of the Intermec CV61 fixed vehicle-mount computer. Intermec Launcher provides enterprises with the ability to manage their operators’ access to the underlying operating system and all of the functionality that it provides. Intermec Launcher is ideal for enterprises that have a few line-of-business applications which operators need to access, but who do not want to allow potentially distracting applications to be run on their mobile computers.
In addition to compatibility with the CV61vehicle-mount computer, this version of Intermec Launcher includes the following updates and enhancements:
- Refined controls over access to applications and folders via a File Explorer type interface
- Administrative access to Intermec Launcher is controlled by the Windows login credentials
- Auto-start of a selected application
- Keypad lockdown to prevent access to Windows-specific key presses, such as ctrl-alt-del
- User interface enhancements.
Licensing and Maintenance
Intermec Launcher licensing is available through part number 454-029-001. Intermec Launcher maintenance entitles customers to upgrade to the latest release of the software. It also entitles customers to telephone support via the Intermec Customer Supportline. Intermec Launcher maintenance can be ordered using part number LAUNCHER-SFT1.
