Datalogic has announced the availability of the new Falcon X3+ mobile computer, representing the next evolution of the very successful Falcon X3 mobile computer line.

Following the form factor of its predecessor, the Falcon X3+ mobile computer introduces many new and exciting capabilities including the ability to read 2D barcodes at extreme distances with the new XLR 2D scanner, along with significantly higher wireless communications throughput with the 802.11n dual band WiFi radio.  A full VGA display, faster processor, more memory, and higher levels of ruggedization all combine to allow the Falcon X3+ to adapt to many new applications.

Introducing the Auto-Switching Flexible Stand for the Datalogic QD2400 Series

Datalogic has recently announced the release of a new stand for the QuickScan QD2400 2D handheld area imager.

This new stand combines the flexible neck of the basic stand (part number STD-QD24) with the automatic switching capability between handheld and hands-free/presentation of the auto-sense stand (part number STD-AUTOQD24). The new auto-flex stand provides an additional and versatile solution for auto-switching between handheld and hands-free scanning.

A new kit (part number QD2430-BKK10X-C540) has been created which includes the QD2430-BK, a USB cable, and the new auto-flex switching stand.

Datalogic’s Memor Obsolescence Notice

After years of delivering successful applications to worldwide retailers, Datalogic is now announcing the obsolescence of the Memor mobile computer product line. Datalogic has recently upgraded the Memor to a much more powerful device, the Memor X3 mobile computer, which is intended to be the ideal replacement of the current device now approaching its End-of-Life.

Please note that this announcement will apply to all special versions of the Memor mobile computer as well.

End of Life for the Datalogic QuickScan Mobile Scanners

Datalogic has announced that their popular QuickScan Mobile line of cordless scanners will be coming to end as component availability has allowed  a very limited production rum of these units. Current QuickScan  Mobile customers are invited to place their last purchase orders as soon as possible. Availability of the last run of devices will vary on overall purchase volume.

Unfortunately, Datalogic regrets to announce that all key components needed to produce QuickScan Mobile products have been exhausted before the expected ‘last purchase’ date. As a consequence of this situation, Datalogic will not be able to produce anymore QuickScan Mobile units; therefore, orders can no longer be accepted for the QuickScan Mobile readers.

Datalogic brings a new and innovative scanner to take a step in improving sanitation hospital wide. With their new Gryphon GD4400-HC and GM4400-HC anti-microbial barcode scanners, the spread of disease, like the devastating MRSA, which claimed 5,500 lives, becomes more preventable.

The Gryphon GD4400-HC 2D and the Gryphon GM4400-HC 2D readers can scan nearly all 1D and 2D barcodes and can even read barcodes off of troublesome LCD monitors, smartphones, and other mobile devices. In addition, they have improved motion tolerance from their previous models, which increases accuracy and gives them the ability to capture images like signatures, IDs, or prescriptions. Both Gryphon readers got rid of the “flicker effect” known to be found in many competing scanners, which encourages all-day usage. The scanners also include a visible 4-Dot aimer feature which clearly indicates the reading area.
