Datalogic Introduces New 2D Imaging Capable Memor X3 Mobile Computers

Datalogic is pleased to announce that the Memor X3, Datalogic’s most compact mobile computer, is now extending its portfolio with the introduction of two additional models featuring a new 2D Multi-Purpose imaging engine.

The new 2D engine is easily recognized with its highly visible white-illumination and offers a reading performance that is comparable to the red-illumination 2D engines offered with existing Memor X3 2D models. Ideally suited for most any general purpose need for reading 1D or 2D codes, the multi-purpose imager is the best choice for future-proofing your customer.
These new 2D models of the Memor X3 mobile computer integrate the multi-purpose 2D engine along with our patented ‘Green Spot’ good read technology, featuring:

  • A 2D Wi-Fi Windows CE Pro model with features and performance equal to the Red-Illumination 2D model offered with the current Memor X3 mobile computer
  • A new batch 2D model running on the Memor X3 entry-level Windows CE Core platform, targeting the increasing demand of simple and costeffective 2D applications

Datalogic has been recognized as a certified device manufacturer by MCL Technologies, a leading provider of high-productivity software solutions that boost the development, deployment and management of enterprise mobile applications and devices.

Datalogic’s Memor X3Skorpio X3 and Lynx mobile devices are now certified to run MCL v4 and the MCL Mobility Platform, after undergoing a thorough testing process. This certification enables channel partners to develop solutions for Datalogic mobile devices using MCL’s rapid application development environment. MCL will also provide direct maintenance and support to Datalogic partners.

Datalogic’s Memor Obsolescence Notice

After years of delivering successful applications to worldwide retailers, Datalogic is now announcing the obsolescence of the Memor mobile computer product line. Datalogic has recently upgraded the Memor to a much more powerful device, the Memor X3 mobile computer, which is intended to be the ideal replacement of the current device now approaching its End-of-Life.

Please note that this announcement will apply to all special versions of the Memor mobile computer as well.

Datalogic Previews their New Memor X3

At NRF 2014, Datalogic proudly debuted the Memor X3 mobile computer, the next generation of the highly successful Memor mobile products. This new device will be generally available in Spring, 2014.

The Memor X3 mobile computer is the industry’s most pocketable mobile computer. Besides significant improvements in speed and battery autonomy, the Memor X3 terminal features aggressive 1D and 2D scan capabilities. Laser models now feature Corning Gorilla Glass 2 scan windows guaranteeing optimum scanning performance by resisting scratching and damage of the scan window. Additionally, an area imager option will be available for reading 2D codes, particularly useful in pharmaceutical applications. All Memor scan engines feature Datalogic’s patented ‘Green Spot’ good read technology.
