Tech Tips: Sensor Error Fix for Sato CLe Series Printers

Sensor Error – Common Causes/Solutions for the Sato CL408e and CL412e

Cause: Incorrect sensor type selected on the printer and/or in the software/driver settings.

Solution: Select the appropriate sensor type using DSW2-2 on the printer.

Cause: Dirty or obstructed sensor and/or media loaded improperly.

Solution: Make sure sensor is free from obstructions and blow out with compressed air, then refer to Label Routing diagrams on the printer to properly load media.

SATO Awarded for 7th Consecutive Year at World Label Contest

Sato has been awarded two first prize awards in addition to the jury’s special award across three separate categories at the 25th World Label Contest. This is the seventh consecutive year Sato Printing has received awards.

In September 2013, the entries, organized by printing method into a total of 22 categories, were evaluated in the areas of design and printing capability by the contest organizing committee. Sato Printing won two awards in the letterpress category, where it received particular praise for its technical capabilities, and one award in the “Coupons/Others – All Printing Methods” category. In addition, the prize-winning label entered in this category is the first label the company has exhibited that was produced using digital printing. Sato received the award in this category partly due to the creativity it showed in using the features of digital printing, such as printing to the back adhesive side of the label, and including one design per layer in the two layers of the front side of the label.

Sato’s 802.11g Wireless Interface Update

SATO continues to update the 802.11g wireless interface to support the latest WPA2 (Wi-Fi Protected Access 2) standards. This enhancement is available for both existing and new 802.11g WLAN plug-in interface option for SATO “e” series tabletop and print engine models, as well as the SATO CT4i and MBi series WLAN printer models.

SATO’s 802.11g WLAN interface provides enhanced security for those who need to ensure their wireless infrastructure and security protocols are able to integrate seamlessly with SATO printers. The SATO 802.11g WLAN option enables SATO printers to support the same speed and security that companies invested in when selecting 802.11g equipment for their networks. Eurotuin Chooses Sato’s GL4e Printers For Shop Automation

Eurotuin, a company comprising of several garden centers in Belgium is a member of Garden Retail Services, the largest full service organisation for garden centers in the Benelux region, with nearly 300 garden centers in the Netherlands and Belgium. Eurotuin recently changed its labeling system and chose NedFox’s RetailVista software to update its shop automation.

Nedfox, a leading retail software vendor specializing in providing cost-effective, scalable software, has chosen to apply SATO’s GL4e printer to its RetailVista ERP software as it has the flexibility and scalability to meet the needs and growth of garden center businesses.
