Posted July 5, 2016

Introducing Zebra’s Total Wearable Solutions, which consist of the WT6000 wearable computer, RS6000 Bluetooth 2D ring scanner, RS4000 corded 1D ring scanner, HS3100 Bluetooth headset and HS2100 corded headset for use in warehouses, distribution centers, and manufacturing operations. It’s the only family of enterprise wearable devices built on Android and backed by Mobility DNA – setting a new standard for ease of use and giving workers the hands-free mobility they need to boost productivity to a new level.

Industry leading ergonomics and human factors design provide warehouse workers with a wearable system they’ll want to wear. Zebra’s Total Wearable Solutions combine the unrivaled scan performance, industrial rugged design and backroom support that the industry has come to expect from Zebra. The result? Maximum comfort. Maximum durability. Maximum workforce productivity.

Enterprise-class Android Lollipop

Mobility Extensions (Mx) transforms Android to an enterprise-class OS, providing enterprise-class security, device management and data capture capabilities. The WT6000 incorporates a powerful 1.0 GHz quad-core processor, and features 1 GB RAM and 4 GB flash, providing more than enough performance for the most advanced supply chain applications.

Superior ergonomics for superior productivity and worker comfort

The WT6000 has a groundbreaking new mounting system for superior comfort, hygiene and safety. The wrist mount offers a best-in-class closure system with micro adjustability, so workers can get a perfect fit in seconds, customized to their arm — all with just the simple turn of a knob.

Rugged and ready for your warehouse

The WT6000, RS6000 and RS4000 are built to last in your most challenging warehouse and manufacturing environments. The WT6000 will survive multiple 4 foot drops to concrete and offers the new industry-best scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 3 touchscreen. The RS6000 has a patented monocoque unibody housing that provides the structural stability required to survive 6 foot drops to concrete and 1,000 tumbles. The RS4000 has a diecast zinc scan engine chassis, single board construction and scan engine isolation, which offer superior impact protection and improves reliability in the event of a drop.

Shared battery between WT6000 and RS6000

Since the same battery works in the WT6000 and the RS6000, battery management is simplified, with just one type of battery to purchase and manage. The PowerPrecision+ battery also provides extensive battery metrics that make it easy to spot and retire aging batteries that can no longer hold a full charge. And the battery can be changed in seconds — without powering down.

Advanced ring scanner features and performance

The RS6000 incorporates the SE4750 imager, which has proprietary PRZM Intelligent Imaging technologyand offers unparalleled performance on both 1D and 2D bar codes. The RS6000 can be paired to the WT6000 with a simple tap between the devices — no more scanning barcodes, manually configuring devices for discovery or accidentally pairing another nearby device. And the RS6000 supports Class 1 Bluetooth, which provides up to 300 feet of wireless range. The RS4000, with SE965 engine, provides best-in class 1D scanning performance, with patented Adaptive Scanning technology that delivers the widest working range in its class and captures bar codes in practically any condition.

Transform “green screens” to elegant all-touch screens with no host modification or coding

All-touch Terminal Emulation on the WT6000 gives the front end of your Terminal Emulation apps a smart and intuitive touch interface, automatically. Create custom keyboards for different application screens to simplify data entry. And All-touch TE is pre-loaded and pre-licensed, ready to boost productivity right out of the box. Refer to PMB#2628 rev C for All-touch TE information and links.

Increase worker productivity by 15% using multi-modal speech directed picking

Pair the RS6000 Bluetooth ring scanner and HS3100 Bluetooth headset to the WT6000 with a simple tap and leverage the power of Zebra TekSpeech Pro 4 to quickly and easily create a next-generation multi-modal speech-directed picking solution. Now, your workers can hear and respond to voice prompts, view information on the WT6000 display and capture barcodes with the ring scanner, all within a single workflow. The result? Workers can increase productivity by 15%, with 39% fewer errors than typical voice-only solutions.
